About this file
This is a Performance Work Statement (PWS) for the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base 306th Rescue Squadron Air Compressor Replacement Project. The project requires the removal of an existing non-functional Quincy QGV-100 air compressor and dryer, followed by delivery, installation, and commissioning of a new, complete commercial industrial air compressor system. The new system must consist of two oil-flooded rotary screw air compressors rated at 15 horsepower each (30 HP total), delivering a minimum of 66 cubic feet per minute each at 125 PSIG full load pressure, one thermal mass cycling refrigerated air dryer rated for 175 CFM, and one oil-water separator. All equipment must operate at 480V, 3-phase, 60Hz with load/no-load controls and standard synthetic fluid.
The contractor is responsible for safe de-installation and off-base disposal of the existing equipment, mechanical tie-ins to existing distribution piping using copper piping and pro-press fittings with dielectric unions and isolation valves, electrical hookups including conduit and wiring sized appropriately for the new equipment, complete operational verification and testing, and commissioning to ensure the lowest possible timeline to operational turnover. Installation must conform to manufacturer guidelines, industry best practices, and all applicable federal, state, and local codes. The contractor must provide an on-site project manager as the single point of contact, coordinate a schedule prioritizing fastest possible completion, obtain Government approval of technical data sheets prior to procurement, provide a written five-year warranty covering all new equipment and workmanship, and comply with OSHA safety standards, Davis-Monthan AFB safety regulations, environmental protection laws, hazardous material handling requirements, base access and security protocols including REAL ID Act compliance, and all applicable fire prevention and security measures.
