Solicitation FA487723QA267 Industrial Hydraulic Shear
Vendor Questions & Answers
Q1. To confirm, we are only breaking down old shear and reinstalling the new one, no purchase of the new shear required?
A1. The requirement is for both supply of the product and services for removal of old existing unit/installation of new.
Q2. If the industrial shear is already purchased and waiting outside the building, is it in one solid manufacturing piece or is it disassembled completely into different pieces, and if so how many?
A2. The shear shall be provided for as part of this solicitation.
Q3. Will they accept a better quality European Shear?
A3. The solicitation does not have a brand name requirement. Please submit your best offer/product that meets or exceeds the requirements under Salient Characteristics document as well as Statement of Work.
Q4. Width is stated at NTE 80" - ours is 107.25", is this acceptable?
A4. 80" is the maximum width approved for concrete drilling and anchors - *107.25" is NOT acceptable.
Q5. Height is stated at NTE 97" - ours is 104.75" , is this acceptable A5. *104.75" height IS acceptable as it will not interfere with the above bridge hoist
Q6. Length is stated at NTE 173" - ours is 197" , is this acceptable?
A6. * 173" is the maximum width approved for concrete drilling and anchors. *197" is NOT acceptable.
Q7. Table Height is stated NTE 32" - ours is 38", is this acceptable?
A7. *32" is the maximum table height that will accommodate our current in-house equipment that aid our end users with material lifting and movement.* 38" is NOT acceptable.
Q8. We only offer a 6' squaring arm and your spec asks for a 4' arm - is this acceptable?
A8. *6' squaring arm IS acceptable.
