SUBJECT: Questions and Answers, Solicitation No. FA4877-17-Q-0126, Recoat Secondary Fuel Containment at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ
1. In accordance with solicitation FA4877-17-Q-0126, interested parties were given a chance to ask questions regarding the scope of work and/or Statement of Work. All answers were provided directly from the user. Questions were due to Angel Hill via email angel.hill@us.af.mil no later than 23 February 2017 @ 4:00PM. The Q&A is shown below:
Q.1. The landing legs that support the tankers within the second containment area have bare exposed concrete under them: do these areas have to remain exposed concrete or may they be covered/sealed as well?
A.1. Seal everything to the top of the containment wall.
Q.2. Will the installation/facility provide power (up to 220) and water or will the vendor/contractor have to provide one or both? What options to the vendors have in these areas?
A.2. 110 power and water are available on site.
Q.3. Will the 2’ X 2’ ground gate (located within the containment area) must or must not be covered/sealed and to what extent; inside the grate down to moisture level?
A.3. Remove the ground grate, clean, replace; seal pit drain down to water/moisture level.
Pit must be sealed off during all cleaning, removal, and repair processes.
