STATEMENT OF WORK

FOR PAINTING (16 Oct 17) SAMPLE PROJECT – Front Gate and Visitor Center Exterior Areas

1.0 WORK INCLUDED: The Contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, equipment and materials, and perform all operations in connection with miscellaneous paint work at Cannon Air Force

Base, New Mexico.

2.0 JOB DESCRIPTION: Prepare and paint exterior bollards, metal/concrete structures, window ledges, re-stripe parking lot and road markings. Work includes removing reflective tape on bollards, repair to metal or concrete to fill dents, damage, scratches, cracks and chipped corners, along with texturing, and corrections to flawed, previously made repairs. The work to be performed includes but is not limited to the following features. Map and photos are attached.

2.1 Contractor shall pressure wash and prep all surfaces, prime and paint all metal/concrete bollards, metal/concrete structures, window ledges. Materials shall be appropriate for the surface being covered.

2.1.1 Approximately 27- movable bollards are to be painted (color to be determined). Paint must be reflective-type. Approx. surface area: 166 SF

2.1.2 1- Fire hydrant connection caps and top to be painted (color to be determined). Main body paint blue. Paint must be reflective-type. Approx.

surface area: 10 SF

2.1.3 4- Stationary bollards are to be painted existing color and sheen. Approx.

surface area: 45 SF

2.1.4 Metal structures and metal bases are to be painted existing color and sheen.

Approx. surface area: 49 SF

2.1.5 Concrete structures/barriers tops are to be painted existing color and sheen.

Approx. surface area: 1081 SF

2.1.6 Window ledges are to be painted to match existing color. Approx. surface area: 29 SF

2.1.7 Metal rails are to be painted to match existing color and sheen. Approx.

surface area: 151 LF

2.2 Contractor shall paint new yellow Jurisdiction Line, approx.: 12” wide 8’ line on each side of the road. Approx. surface area: 54 LF. Refer to map.

2.3 Contractor shall restripe the Visitor Center’s parking lot with existing lines. To include 2- handicap symbols, 16-directional arrows, and faded road markings.

Restriping approx. surface area: 1099 LF. Stop bar approx. surface area: 42 LF.

Excluding Fire Lane.

2.3.1 Remove “Black Out” markings in parking lot. Approx. surface area: 47 SF

2.4 In accordance with the attached map, the Contractor shall restripe all road markings starting at Jurisdiction Line, finish at the end of the center concrete median after entering Cannon AFB, and just prior to Olds Drive. Approx. surface area: 14,257 LF.

2.5 DO NOT PAINT

2.5.1 Red Fire Lane.

3.0 HOURS OF WORK: Normal hours of work shall be from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, except Federal Holidays and CAFB Safety Days.

4.0 COORDINATION OF WORK: The Contractor shall coordinate all work through the

Contracting Officer or COR. The requester for this work order will be contacted when

Contractor is ready to being work.

4.1 Protection of government property. The Contractor shall protect items in work areas in accordance with Protective Coatings IDIQ SOW.

5.0 SUBMITTALS: Contractor shall adhere to Protective Coatings IDIQ specifications and submit data for all materials to be used in the performance of this task order. In accordance with Protective Coatings IDIQ SOW, paragraph 1.4.1.3, a Traffic Plan is required.

6.0 CLEANUP AND DISPOSAL: Contractor shall secure all equipment, and tools, and store offsite so that there is no interference with the movement or operation of military equipment.

All debris shall be picked up and removed daily from job site. All paint chips are to be cleaned up prior to start of painting operations.

7.0 REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:

7.1 Applicable publications are listed in Appendix 1 of the Protective Coatings IDIQ

SOW.

8.0 UTILITIES:

8.1 The government will provide all necessary utilities needed to complete this project.

9.0 WORK PERFORMANCE:

9.1 All surfaces to be painted shall be properly prepped and primed. Contractor shall contact the Contracting Officer or his/her representative before starting any prep work if there are questions concerning what is to be painted.

10.0 FINAL ACCEPTANCE:

10.1 Contractor shall have all cleanup and quality control measures completed prior to calling for a final inspection, in accordance with Protective Coatings IDIQ SOW.
