About this file
This is a Purchase Description for twenty (20) Raider 65 HP Multi-Fuel Outboard Motors designed for military tactical operations on Wing P4.7 inflatable craft supporting amphibious, littoral, and riverine operations. Each motor must be a 2-stroke, inline 3-cylinder submersible propulsion system rated at 65 horsepower at the propeller shaft with a maximum dry weight of 178 lbs to enable manual mounting and demounting by a two-person crew. The motors must feature true multi-fuel capability to operate reliably on JP-5, JP-8, Jet-A, F24, Diesel, and Standard Unleaded Gasoline without requiring manual internal engine modifications or timing changes, along with a heavy-duty manual recoil start system with optional electric start and mandatory manual backup capability.
Critical specifications include a 20-inch long shaft configuration compatible with standard military CRRC transoms, full submersibility with a post-submersion de-watering system allowing purge and restart within five minutes of full submersion, manual tilt capability with shallow-water drive positions, ergonomic tactical tiller control housing throttle, shift, kill switch and trim controls, and heavy-duty stainless steel or composite 3-blade tactical propeller with hub exhaust. Each motor must be air deployable from fixed and rotary wing aircraft and delivered with one 6-gallon heavy-duty tactical fuel bladder or rigid tank with quick-disconnect fuel line, one submersion/de-watering tool kit containing spark plug wrench and cylinder purge kit, and operator and maintenance manuals in both digital and hard copy formats. All units must qualify for national security and military EPA exemptions due to multi-fuel operating requirements and be factory-run and tested prior to shipping.
