About this file
This document is a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) file for a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) camera installation project at Moody Air Force Base. The FAQ provides detailed technical information about the camera system installation, addressing 76 specific questions covering infrastructure details, installation requirements, security protocols, and system specifications. Key details include confirmation of an existing facility renovated in 2020, requirements for hardwired CCTV systems with no wireless connectivity, and strict security protocols such as mandatory escort for all vendor personnel and prohibitions on certain communication technologies.
The accompanying solicitation reveals this is a two-part contract (ATC and SCIF camera systems) requiring installation of 2-4 cameras across two buildings, with specific technical requirements including 4K resolution, person and vehicle detection capabilities, and an 8-channel NVR with 2TB storage. The project mandates NDAA compliance, a 5-year warranty, and installation during limited hours (0800-1600 Monday-Friday). A mandatory site visit is scheduled for February 28, 2025, with base pass forms due by February 27, 2025. The contract will be awarded by the Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command, with an evaluation based on technical capability, lowest price, and past performance.
