1. Scope

The project involves the design, fabricaon, removal, and installaon of a new T-shaped floang dock on Lot’s Pond at Grassy Pond located at 5360 Grassy Pond Rd, Lake Park, GA 31636. The damages were incurred during a recent storm, necessitang the removal and replacement of the floang dock. The objecve is to fully replace the floang dock at Lot’s Pond that was damaged during the storm.

1.1 Background

23 FSS strives to meet the needs of our customer base. Grassy Pond currently has a floang dock in need of replacement due to Hurricane Idalia damage. Grassy Pond is not able to fully supply the demand for cabins to our customers due to the damage sustained by each of them. This has a direct, negave impact on the health of the MWRF. Replacing this floang dock will allow Grassy Pond to recover these lines of income in support of the MWRF.

2. Requirements

All sizing of equipment must be similar or equal

3.1 One (1) T-Shaped Floang Dock on Lot’s Pond

o Replacement Floang Dock

The structure will be “T”-shaped in design.

Use high-quality galvanized steel framing to help with corrosion.

Polyethylene floats spread across the enre structure to allow for proper buoyancy of the dock.

o “T” Shape Design

The total measurement of the “T” is 10' x 60', which includes six (6) EA 5' x 20' secons oriented in a 2 x 3 grid.

o Framework and Handrails

Use high-quality galvanized steel in both the framework and handrails.

The handrails need to be 1-1/4" Sch 40 Pipe (1-5/8" OD) with a .140" Wall Thickness

Handrails to encompass enre floang dock including the entry ramp.

Ensure no sharp edges.

o Walkway and Entry Ramp

80' Walkway with 10' entry ramp (90' total)

Entry Ramp to be secured to the shore with two (2) EA 3" Sch 40 Pilings embedded at least 6' into the ground.

The entry ramp must include non-slip material to ensure safe access to the floang dock.

o Pilings

Atach eight (8) EA 3” Sch 40 Galvanized Steel pilings to galvanized steel brackets welded to the exterior of the floang dock.

6’ of the piling to be embedded into the waterbed using a hydraulic auger or pile driver.

3’ of piling to be exposed above the water with no end caps on the pilings.

The tops of the pilings not to have sharp edges.

Contractor must consider the soil condions and load-bearing capacity of the floang dock to ensure pilings are atached correctly.

Use a level to ensure that each piling is straight and properly aligned.

Atach the floang dock to the pilings using appropriate hardware and connectors.

o Demo and Removal of Exisng Floang Dock

Contractor must safely break down, remove from Lot’s Pond, and dispose of current floang dock.
