About this file
This Performance Work Statement (PWS) details quarterly preventative maintenance requirements for the RTS-3000 Wash Rack System located at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida. The 325 Logistics Readiness Squadron requires a contractor to perform comprehensive maintenance tasks on the water treatment system, which operates 24/7 and recycles water for vehicle and motorized equipment cleaning. Quarterly maintenance obligations include replacing filters, cleaning strainers and pumps, adjusting conveyor tension, conducting operational tests, and providing training to government personnel on system operations and monthly maintenance procedures.
The contractor must provide all necessary labor, equipment, parts, and materials to complete manufacturer-recommended maintenance tasks. Specific quarterly requirements include washing down the rack, rotating filter socks, checking chain tension, cleaning recovery screens, emptying conveyor hoppers as needed, checking filter pressure switches, cleaning surface and motor cooling fans, and greasing pumps, motors, and conveyor bearings. At the conclusion of each quarterly visit, the contractor must submit a detailed checklist/report documenting completed maintenance tasks and noting any potential issues requiring additional maintenance or repairs. The maintenance will be performed at the Ground Transportation Wash Facility on Louisiana Avenue at Tyndall AFB.
