About this file
This document contains questions and answers regarding a solicitation for the lease of an avian radar, unmanned aerial systems detection system, airfield camera-video system, services, and support. Key details include that the system must integrate separate radar panels, communications equipment, and a camera system located together on a single vendor-provided tower not exceeding 25 feet in height. Fiber connectivity with SC connectors will be provided, but no existing shelter, server infrastructure, or integration with other base security systems is available. The self-contained, standalone system will utilize point-to-point fiber connections to transmit video feeds to up to ten displays located in designated buildings.

1.6
The RFP defines a co-integrated avian radar / UAS Detection / Camera system. Please confirm that these capabilities can be provided by separate devices, provided that the entire system is integrated.
Yes, separate devices can be used. Requirement is for all systems (radar panels, vendors comminications box/node, and camera system) to be located at one (1) location and mounted on one (1) vendor provided tower structure.
1.6.3.1 What is the required format for integration with WISP? Is an interface control document available?
This integration is no longer a requirement.
Amendment 0002
3.1 It is noted that power and communications is provided at the defined site. Please provide details on the fiber format. Is there a shelter available for use at the existing site? If so, please provide dimensions and layout. Is there an existing pad at the site? Is any building at the site sufficient for mounting a radar or is the contractor expected to provide a tower? Are there any limitations on height based on the location of the site in relation to the runways.
The fiber format is Single Mode Fiber with SC Connectors. There is no shelter available for use at the designated site. There is an existing concrete pad at the site (size is aprox. 10ft x 10ft). There is no building for mounting radar panels on, and contractor is expected to provide one (1) tower for mounting all radar panels, camera system and associated equipment on.
The height of the tower shall not be taller than 25ft
Is there an existing network that this solution is expected to use? Please provide any details regarding the network layout and requirements.
This system will not utilize a network and will be a point to point connected system with GFE fiber to all points/buildings.
Amendment 0002
Are there any cyber/network security requirements that vendors will be asked to meet? Please provide any details.
The system will utilize a stand alone point to point system and will not have cyber/network security requirements. The system should have at a minimum username and password type login process for any access via web/internet access, or control of the camera system.
NOTE: State question clearly, giving as much information as possible. If an answer may generate a follow-on question, try to anticipate that so the entire subject can be addressed at the same time.

The vendor will have an integrated/self-contained system to include any data storage, communications and server rack installed on the vendor supplied one (1) tower structure.
Is there existing infrastructure for the video camera system at various locations.
A single video camera system shall be integrated with all systems at the designated location on one (1) vendor provided tower. The vendor will provide up to ten (10) displays to be located at designated buildings via GFE fiber.
Will suppliers need to integrate with any other base security systems.
No, this system will be stand alone.
Can you define all the system to system integrations that will be required.
The system will no longer be required to integrate with other systems as it will be a stand alone system of point to point connection with GFE fiber to designated buildings.
