Attachment 2 -
Appendix A - 9
An AF 3000/RFI for a previous tower project will be provided for reference. Provide signage similar to the signs as identified in this document. Please also note that An AF
3000 for tower signage will also be requiredd to be submitted for approval during project execution.
3 Once the contractor installs line and antenna equipment, and performs all pre-tests, will Tyndall AFB personnel perform the connections to their equipment and complete commissioning?

Attachment 3 -
Appendix B -
ER083035-J-
BLD.9439
Three (3) legged tower is required. CE sent revised SOW to

5 Is a geotechnical report available for this project? If Geotechnical report is not available please provide assumed foundation design for pricing purposes.
N/A Contractor is responsible for independent geotechnical investigation and design of foundations, any information regarding soil conditions is provided for information only and shall not be used as basis of design for the foundations.
Foundation design shall be prepared by geotechnical/structural engineer based upon soil conditions and calculated structural loads for new tower. Soil conditions generally consist of sandy soils with groundwater approximately 2-3 feet below existing grade. WEG tower
9350 visited during Jun 21 site visit had deep foundations approximately 40 feet deep, however soil conditions will likely be slightly different at this location. Soil boring for
9350 will be provided for information only, not as basis of design for new tower.
6 AF 813 indicates that soil disturbances must be handled IAW IRP guidelines, and that absent IRP guidance, excavated soil/sand may be sprea out on land adjacent to the excavation site. Can drill shaft spoils remain on site or do they need to be hauled away?
Attachment 3 -
Appendix B -
Completed AF Form
Spoils can be kept on site and used for minor grading, to include the 10 ft. gravel access drive to be placed around fence perimeter. If contractor desires to haul off base, IRP guidelines must be followed.
7 Attachment 2 - Appendix A section 5.2.1.5.1 states "A dissipative lightning protection system shall be provided, including strike termination devices, conductors, ground terminals, interconnecting conductors and other connectors and fittings required to provide a full coverage for antenna systems. Does the base have a specific system that is specified as the Basis of Design?
Attachment 2 -
Appendix A section
