About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for a federal contract opportunity to clean the HVAC/Air Conveyance System in Building 861 at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida.
The document addresses two primary inquiries from potential contractors. Regarding conceptual drawings, the Government has provided HVAC mechanical and floor plans that highlight areas serviced by rooftop units (RTUs) to assist contractors in understanding ductwork, dampers, and diffusers locations. The contractor is responsible for determining the cleaning sequence, equipment placement, negative-air connections, and duct access panel locations to optimize system cleaning. The contractor must hold NADCA or ASCS certification and is required to provide before-and-after photographs and conduct cleanliness testing. The Government will supply replacement filters if necessary, reducing the contractor's material costs for this requirement.
