STATEMENT OF WORK

Installation of Antennas Building 4901

1. PURPOSE: This statement of work defines requirements for the purchase and installation of UHF antennae and radio equipment at building 4901.

2. SCOPE: The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, cables, mounts and hardware necessary to complete the requested work. Upon notification to proceed, the contractor shall coordinate installation/setup times with authorized Government personnel. The contractor shall install and ground equipment and accessories according to Air Force Technical Order 31-10-24, Installation Practices or industry standards. The contractor shall ensure adequate separation among antennae to permit simultaneous operation without causing co-channel interference.

a. Provide and install one (1) Taco D2219 UHF/UHF/UHF antenna and one TELANT425F2, 380-470 MHZ ANTENNA on existing 100 ft. concrete pole at bldg. 4901.

b. Install one customer-provided Taco D2213 VHF/UHF antenna and two customer-provided TELANT425F2, 380-470 mhz LMR antennas on same concrete pole at bldg. 4901. TELANT antennas are provided with clamps to attach to 1.5 to 3 inch pipes. The D2213 is mounted in same manner as the D2219 antenna.

c. Provide and install lightning protection with air terminal that extends at least ten inches above the highest antenna top.

d. Identify each antenna cable at the antenna, base of the pole, building entry point and at employing equipment.

1. Identification tags shall contain the following information: antenna make and model, frequency range (i.e. HF 2-34 MHz, VHF 108-174, UHF 225-400) and, antenna number (1, 2, 3 etc).

2. Unused cables shall be terminated, at building entry point, with N-type female connectors and dust caps.

e. Provide and install one wall mounted equipment cabinet in equipment room of bldg. 4901. The cabinet shall have an AC Power strip with standard three-prong A/C outlets and capacity for installation of three radios.

f. Install one customer-provided AN/PRC-117G transceiver in wall mounted cabinet. The cabling from the entry point will be routed up through ceiling and over to radios

g. OPTION: Concrete pole is believed to be grounded. However, if found not to be grounded, the contractor shall install earth grounds IAW industry standards.

3. LOCATION: This work is to be accomplished on Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Goldsboro, NC, at Buildings 4012 and 4901.

4. MATERIALS: The antenna cables, attaching hardware and miscellaneous ancillary items shall be provided by contractor.

5. WARRANTY: The contractor shall provide a one-year warranty period on all workmanship. The warranty period shall start when provided services and equipment have been accepted by authorized government personnel.

6. WORKMANSHIP: All workmanship will comply with standard trade practices. The contractor shall provide qualified personnel, equipment, and service required to complete requested work.

7. CLEANUP: The contractor shall responsible to return the work site to the condition in which it was found. If removal of equipment and/or material is necessary to perform, or required by this contract, the contractor shall be responsible for disposal and shall comply with all applicable industry rules and regulations. Government POC shall be notified prior to disposing of any government owned materials/equipment.

8. TECHNICAL POCs: Contractor shall coordinate with the 916 PIO Project Officer, Lt Col Bryan Alston, Work Number 919-722-5542, 916th Command Post Superintendent, SMSgt Chad DeSelms, Work Number 919-722-2181, or Mr. William Tootle, RF Transmission Systems, Work Number 919-722- 3372.

9. WORK HOURS: The contractor shall observe the same work hours of the 916th ARW Building 4901, 0730 to 1630 hours or make arrangement to deviate from this schedule. However, work that will interfere with normal operations shall be pre-coordinated with affected agencies and accomplished during designated maintenance times.

10. ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA: Work will be accepted after a complete inspection of all the work requested by the assigned Project Officers.
