FA480920Q0020 - Install UHF Antennas
Q&A
1. RFP identifies transmission line cables are provided by contractor, does the command have a recommended type or is this our decision? Recommend 0.5 inch foam heliax cable with no more than 1.5 db per 100 ft attenuation between 116 mhz - 425 mhz.
2. Are the TACO antennas to be fully populated with three cables or the one to be connected? Run two cables from each antenna and cap the third port on the D2219.
3. Are there photos of site, pole and building Yes, see attachments.
4. Distance pole to building. 35 feet, approximately
5. Is equipment room on ground floor (Yes)
6. What is the routing pole to room. Cables will be routed from base of the pole to equipment room via 6-inch diameter (inside) PVC conduit already in place.
a. Direct bury of coax N/A
b. Aerial using messenger cable N/A
7. What is diameter of pole
a. Round? 22 inches in diameter, approximately
b. Rectangle? N/A
8. What are the designated antenna mount elevations on pole of all antennas. Recommend mounting the D2219 and D2213 antennas near top of pole. Recommend mounting the three TELANT425F2 antennas approximately 15 to 25 feet below the Taco antennas.
9. Will standard antenna mount clamps fit the pole directly or is the contractor to provide pole mount to support the antenna. Contractor shall provide all required mounting materials. The pole has one cross-member attached near the top (integrity unknown).
