About this file

This document is a Contractor Questions and Answers file for federal solicitation FA480326Q0041 regarding a TMO Roll Up Door project at Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter, South Carolina.

The government has clarified several key requirements through eight contractor questions. The roll-up door must be dark bronze in color with a Kynar finish, manufactured by CHI, and sized at 12' x 14'. The door shall be designed with motorized controls, and contractors must allow for a reasonable manufacturer lead time (to be annotated in quotes) with installation to be completed within 30 days of delivery. A photograph of the existing door (labeled as door number 3) has been provided to assist contractors in accurately quoting the motor operator installation. The government has deleted the Preventative Maintenance requirement from the contract, eliminating any annual PM inspection pricing obligations. Plans and specifications are available through the original advertisement posted on SAM.gov. All bidders must price based on the same scope to ensure equal standing in the competition.
