About this file
This document is Amendment 0003 to Solicitation FA480325QB015 for an AST Risers & Tank Shells Corrosion Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) issued by the 20th Contracting Squadron at Shaw Air Force Base. The amendment provides detailed clarification on the specifications of above ground storage (AST) tanks involved in the project, noting there are over 120 tanks with varying dimensions and designs. The tanks range in size from 250 to 3500 gallons, with cylindrical and cubical configurations, predominantly horizontal in orientation and featuring diameters between 33" and 65" with heights from 3'9" to 6'5".
The amendment includes specific tank size examples, such as 250-gallon tanks with 33" diameter, 500-gallon tanks with 45" diameter, and larger 2000 and 3500-gallon tanks with 65" diameter. Most cubical tanks are under 6 feet tall, with one exception being approximately 7 feet tall. For questions regarding the amendment, potential offerors are instructed to contact Ms. Lori Quador by telephone at (803) 895-9893 or email at lori.quador@us.af.mil. The document is signed by Contracting Officer Shaunannette D. Watson and dated 26 March 2025.

SUBJECT: Amendment 0003, Solicitation FA480325QB015, AST Risers & Tank Shells Corrosion Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA)
1. The purpose of issuing Amendment 0003 is to provide the government’s answers to the questions submitted in accordance with (IAW) the timeline identified in the SAM.gov posting.
2. The questions and answers are listed below. Please be advised, the answers are in bold.
Question 1: Could you kindly confirm the height of each above ground storage tank included in the scope of work?
Answer: I am not able to provide exact height measurements for all 120+ ASTs but can provide parameters. The ASTs in question are all horizontal, so no vertical oriented tanks are in the population. The ASTs are all different sizes with cylindrical and cubical tank designs. Most of the tanks are cylindrical with 33", 45", 48", and 65" diameters with 12" saddles. The cubical tanks in the population are all under 6 feet tall with most less than 5 feet tall designed as sub-base/belly tanks, except for 1 cubical tank which is around 7 feet tall but is not sub-base/belly tank. See photo, “5200 gallons around 7 feet tall”.
Attached, please, find examples of the tanks in question.
• 250 gallon-33" diameter and height 3'9"
• 500 gallon-45" diameter and height 4'9"
• 1000 gallon-48" diameter and height 5'0"
• 2000 gallon-65" diameter and height 6'5"
• 3500 gallon-65" diameter and height 6'5"
