About this file

This document is a Site Visit #2 Questions record for a potential contract at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina. The site visit covered multiple technical and logistical details about a tank and piping work project, including key specifications: the work is confined to one tank and piping site at Shaw AFB, utilities are available on-site, and an SPCC (Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure) plan exists. Specific work parameters include wall penetrations requiring brick removal, potential valve work, requirements for capturing wash water with preapproval for pressure washing, and handling of potential piping incidents by cutting off valves and calling emergency services. The document indicates the project's frequency depends on funding, and no bulk fuel facilities or oil field equipment are involved. Additional site constraints include no on-base trailer parking, no job site storage facilities, and no lead testing required, as the fuel tanks are relatively new.
