4. How many traffic marking mobilizations are anticipated each year? If multiple, is it possible to try and consolidate them? This can result in a saving to the Govt.
o I will consolidate “alike” work orders when I can, however, I don’t control when the customers will request traffic markings. On the previous contract, there were 54 individual parking line requests. They ranged from 50 LF up to 26,000 LF.
5. The SOW 1.1.1, G, calls out “Install Lead Free Thermoplastic Street and Parking Lot Markings”. The 1.1.1.2 “Paint Specifications” do not reference any Thermoplastic products. Is it the intent of the Project to only use the “Pavement Markings /Sherwin Williams, Hotline TM2152, fast dry marking paint or similar” as specified for Pavement markings? There is a very substantial difference in cost between Painted markings and Thermoplastic. If it is intended to use both, we would request separate pricing.
o Pavement markings will be Sherwin-Williams, Hotline TM2152, fast dry marking paint or approved equivalent
6. Is the Pavement Marking SOW intended to be predominately parking lots and associated markings adjoining Buildings or is it intended to also include base roadways and streets?
If it includes Roadways and Streets, please provide a breakdown?
o Historically, the pavement marking CLIN is mostly used for parking lot painting, however, we have had requests for street/roadway painting. Historically, <95% parking lot, >5% Roadways.
7. Can you please send examples of the following??? We were not shown any examples of the work that needs to be done for these CLINs.
Examples are included below:
