About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for Base Honor Guard Uniform Alterations at Holloman Air Force Base. The contractor shall perform alterations and modifications to approximately 48 US Air Force dress blue uniforms annually (8-12 per quarter) in a timely manner to meet established Honor Guard standards and deadlines. The work encompasses comprehensive alterations to multiple uniform components including blouses, trousers, ceremonial lightweight jackets, ceremonial overcoats, and all-weather coats. Specific alterations include tailoring the service coat with a prescribed duty arch placement, adding or removing European or single vents based on member gender, sewing 3/4-inch silver braid on sleeves, creating 1/8-inch sewn creases on fronts and backs, sewing down pocket flaps and front pockets, adding or removing rank chevrons, hemming trousers to precise length specifications with silver braid centered on outside seams, embroidering Air Force symbols, affixing silver buttons with wing and star designs on overcoats, and removing cuff straps and belt loops as required. The overcoat alterations must result in clean, serviceable, wrinkle-free garments with tailored fits, while all-weather coat modifications include sewn creases for blousing purposes and belt loop removal. All work must maintain strict adherence to Air Force uniform standards and presentation requirements established by the Honor Guard.
