This document contains questions and answers regarding a sources sought notice from the Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command. The notice seeks to identify capable small businesses that can provide day and overnight retreat facilities within 100 miles of Holloman Air Force Base for up to 40 participants of all ages, including classrooms, meals, lodging, and recreational activities. Sources Sought #: FA480121Q0013 Questions and Answers

1. QUESTION: Are you looking to work directly with a hotel/property, or are you open to working with a third-party SDVOSB/HUBZone company?

ANSWER: Unfortunately, we cannot answer that question at this point in time. This Sources Sought is to help us determine the acquisition plan and most appropriate set-aside (if any).

1. QUESTION: Are you willing to cross the state line for the retreats as long as the radius is within your 100 miles distance?

ANSWER: Yes, as long as the retreat occurs within 100 miles from Holloman AFB.

1. How many lodging rooms will be required for the overnight retreats (min/max)?

ANSWER: We will require 10-15 rooms for Overnight Retreats for families. For Overnight Retreats for single Airmen, 15-20 rooms are required per retreat.

1. Will you utilize a casino property?

ANSWER: Federal regulation, found at 5 C.F.R. 735.201, provides that, ‘While . . . on duty for the Government, an employee shall not conduct or participate in any gambling activity . . . .’ Holding the retreat at a casino would put employees at unnecessary risk of violating this regulation.
