About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for a Department of Air Force Air Combat Command solicitation (FA4800-25-Q-A037) regarding the purchase of a pontoon boat.

The Q&A clarifies several specifications for the pontoon boat procurement: While the original requirement specified a 20-foot boat, the government will accept 23" or 24" vessels, though they prefer staying close to 20" for towing purposes. The government will accept a 2025 model year pontoon boat at the same price, since 2024 models are not readily available. Regarding flooring, the government has indicated a preference for engineered vinyl flooring rather than carpet, acknowledging that pontoons are rarely built with carpet. The vessel must maintain the minimum 11-person capacity requirement.
