About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for a federal contract opportunity seeking to purchase a pontoon boat for the Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command (Solicitation Number FA4800-25-Q-A037).

The Q&A clarifies three key specifications: 1) While the vessel should ideally be 20 feet for towing purposes, some variance is acceptable as long as it maintains an 11-person capacity, 2) A 2025 model year pontoon boat will be accepted instead of a 2024 model, provided the price remains the same, and 3) The government will allow and actually prefers engineered vinyl flooring instead of carpet, acknowledging that pontoons are rarely built with carpet available.
