Text version
1.2.8. Security Requirement. All contractor personnel are required to obtain a National Agency Check with a FAVORABLE adjudication. The contractor shall apply for all personnel security clearances within 15 days after award of the contract or upon employment. Paperwork to apply for National Agency Checks will be provided by the Contracting Officer. Subsequent personnel hired to work shall have the paperwork for the National Agency Check with them at all times in case of personnel injury, termination, etc. On the contract start date, if no National Agency Checks are approved, the government will be required to provide an escort until favorable checks are returned. The approximate time for processing a National Agency Check is 90 to 120 days. The government will conduct and assume the costs for background investigation for required clearances. A Favorable adjudication will permit all contractor personnel unescorted entry into restricted areas, access to sensitive information areas, and/or equipment.
