About this file

This document is an Amendment (0002) to a Department of the Air Force Solicitation FA469025Q0060 for ATV Storage Sheds at Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota. The solicitation requires the contractor to remove two existing sheds and construct two new storage sheds, each measuring 24' x 12.5' and close to but under 500 square feet. Key details include acceptable construction methods such as prefabricated walls built on-site, engineered siding rated for 50 years (L.P. Smart Panel), and flexibility in removal methods including using a trailer or 30-yard dumpster for debris.

The amendment provides clarifications through a series of questions and answers, addressing specifics like shed removal, construction techniques, and alternative storage solutions like ISO shipping containers. The response due date has been extended to 8 September 2025 at 3:00 PM MDT. Contractors can contact SSgt Mitchell Bryk at 605-385-1733 or mitchell.bryk@us.af.mil for further inquiries. 28TH CONTRACTING SQUADRON (AFGSC)

ELLSWORTH AIR FORCE BASE, SOUTH DAKOTA

2 September 2025

MEMORANDUM FOR RECORD

FROM: 28 CONS/PKB-1

1000 Ellsworth St, Ste 1200 Ellsworth AFB, SD 57706-4904

SUBJECT: Amendment 0002 – Add Questions, Answers, and Updated SOW to Solicitation FA469025Q0060 – ATV Storage Shed.

1. The purpose of this memorandum is to issue Amendment 0002 to Solicitation FA469025Q0060 – ATV Storage Shed. This amendment documents questions, comments, and answers regarding this solicitation. It also includes an updated SOW to include additional pictures of the storage sheds.

2. The following are the questions and answers received:

a. Question: Are we responsible for removing old sheds? Are there two? Is it acceptable to pull onto a trailer and haul off that?

i. Answer: Yes, removal of the sheds is in the SOW as the responsibility of the contractor.

There are two sheds. Yes, if they are put on a trailer and removed from the site that is acceptable. Each shed measures 24’ X 12.5’.

b. Question: Did you mean you want two sheds totaling up to or close to 500 square feet? Or is each shed itself up to or close to 500 square feet?

i. Answer: Two separate sheds each shed needs to be close to but under 500 square feet.

c. Question: I am working with my delivery driver to see if he can haul them away. Can you get me better, closer up pictures of the back of the building? We are looking to determine if the building has skids/runners underneath. I need a picture of the exterior wall opposite the garage door.

i. Answer: Photos have been attached to the SOW. We cannot tell if there are skids or runners because the frame is down to the concrete.

d. Question: Is Engineered Siding Rated for 50 years ( L.P. Smart Panel ) Acceptable?

i. Answer: Yes.

e. Question: Our walls are Prefabbed and Built on site, is this okay?

i. Answer: Yes, prefabbed and assembled on site is acceptable.

Procure To Deter!

f. Question: Can we bring in a 30 yard dumpster for the demo & removal of the existing buildings?

i. Answer: I do not see this as an issue as long as the debris from demolishing the existing sheds is properly cleaned and removed.

g. Question: Would you consider using ISO shipping containers? If you use shipping containers, you will have access by the double doors at 3 access points to the building. Would you still want roll-up doors added?

i. Answer: This is okay as long as all specifications are met that are outlined in the SOW.

3. The due date for responses has been changed from 4 September 2025, 3:00 PM MDT to 8 September 2025, 3:00 PM MDT.

4. For further inquiries regarding this amendment, please contact SSgt Mitchell Bryk at 605- 385-1733 or mitchell.bryk@us.af.mil.
