Questions and Answers
Solicitation FA469020Q0059_Infrared Radiant Heat Services
1. What is the NATE certification you deem the most important? There is around 12 NATE tests
ANSWER to #1: NATE Certification in Gas Heating (GS)
2. What is the tallest height of lift a person would need?
3. What is average length of Radiant tube systems?
ANSWER to #2 and #3:
• Pride Hanger 7540 is the highest IR on Ellsworth, it has 54 Burners with approximately 5,600 feet of IR tubing. It requires an 85 Ft lift at the center of the facility. There is also a soccer field and running track in this facility, so ¾” plywood is required to drive lifts onto the track and field.
• The other Hangars/Facilities are similar in lengths with between 1,050 – 1,400 feet of IR tubing with 20 burners in each facility. These facilities require a 45 Ft lift at their highest points. There could be obstructions at some point in the facilities so an Articulating man-lift is recommended.
