About this file
This is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) document dated 21 August 2026 for Solicitation No. FA468626QS028, issued by the Air Force for carpet, furniture, and asbestos abatement work at Building 1060 (B1060) located at 9 OSS (Base Ops).
The Q&A document addresses four key inquiries regarding the project scope and pre-work conditions. Building 1060 was constructed in 1958. Regarding flooring composition, the government clarified that it cannot confirm whether the building contains a single layer of flooring until carpet removal is completed. The government provided asbestos surveys for the building in response to a specific request, though the actual survey documents are referenced as attachments. Concerning pre-abatement preparation, the government directed respondents to the Statement of Objectives (SOO) Furniture Removal and Storage section for guidance, confirming that personal belongings will be removed from work areas before abatement begins. The document does not specify whether all desks, filing cabinets, electronics, refrigerators, and other facility furniture will be removed by the government or by the contractor.
