About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document providing clarification on the Mobile Breathing Air Recharging System requirements for solicitation FA466126Q0092 issued by the 7th Contracting Squadron at Dyess Air Force Base.

The document addresses 9 key customer requirements for the mobile breathing system trailer. The system must include a 6-bottle SCBA drop-in rack in the front compartment and a diesel engine-driven compressor with automatic shutdown features (low oil pressure and high temperature switches with warning light). The compressor must operate at 6000 PSI fill pressure and be mounted on top of a rack housing 2-4 UN-certified 6000 PSI air storage cylinders located in the trailer center. A fill station with 2-4 bank air controls must be installed in the rear and comply with NFPA standards. Lighting requirements include a telescoping light tower for operator/scene illumination per NFPA 1900, ground-level lighting, and interior compartment lighting to uniform standards. The electrical system must provide 12V DC with 120V AC output and solar charging capability. Multi-stage filtration must include an inlet filter restriction indicator for the diesel engine, an electronic carbon monoxide monitor with an air regulation panel and automatic shutdown capability, and a CO calibration kit with 20 ppm and zero gases. Trailer dimensions and drawings are referenced in Attachment 1. The amendment updated the original solicitation to include this Q&A document and a scaled image of the requested item.
