About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract solicitation FA466126Q0040, issued by the Department of the Air Force Global Strike Command for removal and replacement of pinsetter machines at Dyess Lanes Bowling Center, a 16-lane facility in Building 7115.

The document addresses critical technical specifications and integration requirements for the pinsetter procurement. The current system uses Conqueror POS version 14.71.02 and Qubica BES X Ultimate scoring system, with existing Lanetalk integration for automatic score and statistics tracking. The government emphasizes that any quoted pinsetter brand must be fully compatible with both Conqueror X and BES X systems to ensure all operational functions are performed. The document specifically notes that QubicaAMF pinsetters are the current standard and that alternative brands have historically experienced integration issues. Critical daily functions requiring full compatibility include lane machine control from the front counter, updated diagnostic reporting, remote troubleshooting capabilities, and interchangeability between certified league play and casual open play operations. Responses to the RFQ are due by 12 May 2026 at 10:00 a.m. (CST) with submission to cheryl.lynn.1@us.af.mil and taylor.norris@us.af.mil. All quotes must acknowledge Amendment 0001 to be considered responsive. The government notes that funds are not presently available and reserves the right to cancel the solicitation.

Most known pinsetter brands are made with integration with their specific brand (i.e, Brunswick Boost ST string machines are natively compatible with the Brunswick Sync POS. If quoting a different brand string setter other than QubicaAMF, quoted brand will need to be able to fully integrate to allow for all functions to be performed. Everyday functions such as but not limited to, control of lane machines from the front counter, updated diagnostic reports and remote troubleshooting, and interchangeability between certified league play and casual open play.
