About this file
The document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for Solicitation FA466125Q0111, a Department of the Air Force Global Strike Command contract for shipping an A-10C Thunderbolt II static display aircraft. The solicitation requires a contractor to disassemble, transport, and reassemble one A-10C aircraft from Sheppard AFB to Dyess Linear Air Park, with a desired delivery timeframe of 30 days and a required delivery timeframe of 60 days, not later than September 30, 2025.
The Q&A document clarifies key details including confirmation that all systems will be demilitarized (drained, removed, or rendered safe), verifies this is a new standalone project, and specifies that while contractors will have base food court access, food will not be government-provided. The solicitation has undergone multiple amendments, with the most recent (Amendment 4) adding questions to the Q&A attachment and revising the Statement of Work paragraph 1.10.1 for clarity. The delivery location is 7 Lancer Loop, Dyess AFB, Texas, with the delivery DoDAAC code F1R0CP.
