Demolition B9329

• Question: Reference As-Built Drawings in SOW. Is it possible to get a plan view drawing of the demo boundaries? We are trying to determine asphalt paving requirements with curb that is intended to be removed on the north side of the building. Answer: Refer to the SOW and Building Demo Layout Drawing for demo boundaries. No asphalt paving need to be removed, in the demo layout, the concrete pad on the east side of the building is needing to be removed.

• Question: For survey requirements described in the SOW, please confirm self-survey for qualified contractors and/or coordination with the CO and 7 CES Geobase Shop will satisfy survey requirements. Answer: Per the SOW, once the utility line is capped, you will notify us and we’ll coordinate with the Geobase Shop

• Question: Reference No. 10, SOW. To what extent of an "above the ceiling inspection" is required? Answer: Not applicable

• Question: Reference 4., Safety & Health, 4.3, page 32 of SOW. Can the contractor propose alternate options for fencing anchoring in their technical approach?

Answer: Fence shall be replaced like kind when removing the tree by the transformer.

• Question: Related to salvage requirements described in the SOW document, are there any related exemptions? Answer: No related exemptions

• Question: Reference Excavation & Fill section of the SOW Document. Will compaction testing be required from a third-party lab? If so, will radiation permits be necessary for the moisture/density test probes as per the special conditions section of the specs? Or, can we place the backfill in 8" lifts and compact with vibratory compactors? Answer: Bring any depressions from the building and utilities. Backfill and seed the area.

• Question: Section 02 41 00 page 3 of 7, states a 6' tall fence would be required to protect the Post Oak tree on the west side of Blg. 9329. Can the contractor propose an alternate option of protecting the tree in their technical proposal? Answer: Yes, contractor can propose an alternate option.

• Question: The drawings in the SOW Document show a tree and stump next to the transformer are required to be removed. Digging the stump out may cause more damage to the transformer pad. Can the contractor propose an alternate option in their technical approach that would not cause further damage to the transformer but still achieve the objective? Answer: This will be acceptable

• Question: Pg. C2 Note 4 calls to backfill and compact to match adjacent grade with native material. What type of native material is in place? Answer: Please refer to the Specifications under Section 31 23 00 EXCAVATION & FILL (2.1.7 & 2.1.9) within the SOW for information of which material should be used.

• Question: Will a new irrigation system need to be installed for the seeding?Answer:

No irrigation system will be needed

• Question: Does this project require Tra ic Control? Answer: No Tra ic Control will be needed.

• Question: Does the Project require onsite presence of a CQCM, Superintendent and Safety O icer? Answer: Yes

• Question: Does the project require Payment and Performance Bond? Answer: No
