About this file

This document is a set of Questions and Answers (Q&A) related to the Custodial Services solicitation for the Cavalier Space Force Station.

The key details are: The washing machine in Building 720 is not considered Government Furnished Property (GFP) and can be used by the contractor for cleaning purposes. There is no separate line item for periodic Level 4 cleaning services, and on-call services should be priced hourly. The current staffing level is 4 full-time and 1 part-time employee, which may need to be increased to meet the requirement of having 4 members on duty Monday through Friday. An amendment with answers to additional questions has been issued, and the proposal due date has been extended to July 17, 2024 at 10:00 am CST. The government has not provided the square footage for CLIN 2 and CLIN 5, but historical data for the number of on-call services per year (not to exceed 6) has been provided.

FA465924Q0002 – Cavalier Space Force Station Custodial Services | Q&A 2

1. Is the washer GFP? (Building 720- Custodial closet)

The washing machine located in the Custodial Office area of bldg. 720 is provided for use as an incidental to the contract. As per FAR 45.000(b)(5), it is not considered GFP and FAR part 45 does not apply.

2. Does this also mean the washer is for contractor use as well for washing cleaning towels and mops, etc.?

Yes.

3. Will there be an added line item for periodic services on the Level Four (4) cleaning as there is for Level 2?

For the CLIN structure please refer to the Solicitation.

4. Also, regarding the on-call services, should this be a per hour cost provide since we don’t know what the service will be?

Please refer to pg. 7 on the PWS for On-Call services description.

5. What is the current staffing level? Is current staffing adequate to meet the needs of the new requirement? The current number of staff is 4 with 1 part-time position, does that mean 4 FT with one of those positions being PT or is it 4FT plus 1 PT?

4 FT with an additional PT. However, the intent is to always have 4 members working Mon – Fri. If this means more PT employees to meet the 4 on-duty, then additional PT members should be considered.

6. Will there be an amendment answering any questions that were submitted?

If there is an amendment, can the proposal due date be extended by a week to evaluate the Q&A?

Quote due date has been extended to 17 July 2024 at 10:00am CST

7. Can the Government provide the square footage for CLIN 2? Can the Government provide the square footage for CLIN 5?

Please see PWS for Sq/ft chart.

8. Can the government provide the historical data for the number of on call services yearly?

This is a new requirement. As identified in the PWS, this will not exceed 6 times yearly.
