The requirement is for 15 or 20 cubic yard dump trucks meeting a minimum CAT Class 952-7075 equivalent specification with greater than 26,000 GVW, intended for aggregate hauling operations. The Government estimates 1,300 hours of monthly usage, though offerors may include overage rates for usage exceeding projected hours. There are no additional minimum payload, axle configuration, or GVWR requirements beyond the stated specifications. Questions and Answers
Question # Question Answer
1 For submission purposes, is the Government requesting only the completed SF1449, CLIN pricing, and applicable representations/certifications, or is a separate technical narrative or capability statement required?
The Government requires a separate technical narrative along with the completed SF1449, CLIN pricing, and applicable representations/certifications.
Are the projected usage hours listed in the SOW estimates only, or should offerors treat them as included usage limits? If actual usage exceeds the listed hours, should offerors include separate overage rates in the quote?
Estimated usage will be 1300 hours per month. Offerers can include overage rates in the quote, Can you please confirm whether the Government is specifically requiring a 20 cubic yard dump body, or if smaller dump trucks in the 5–15 cubic yard range would be acceptable as long as they meet the GVW requirement? 15 or 20 CY dump bodies will be acceptable.
Is the Government requiring a dump equivalent to the CAT Class 952-7050, or a 20 dump body? A CAT Class 952-7050 is actually a 5 to 7 cubic yard dump truck, not a 20-yard dump body. Furthermore, the CAT Class 952- 7050 is a single-axle, while a 20 yard dump body cannot legally or safely be a single-axle. The CAT equivalent is a CAT Class 952-7075 minimum.
Can the Government provide additional information regarding the intended use of the dump trucks (e.g., earthmoving, aggregate hauling, demolition debris, etc.) so that offerors may propose the most appropriate equivalent equipment? Aggregate hauling is the intended use. Not intended for asphalt or hazardous waste.
6 Is there a minimum payload requirement, axle configuration requirement, or GVWR requirement beyond the stated ">26,000 GVW" specification? No. As long as the minimum CAT Class 952-7075 or equivalent is being met.
7 Is there an estimated number of operating hours per week or total expected usage? 1300 hours per month.
8 Can you confirm the correct quote due date? The SF1449 lists the offer due date as 02 July 2026 at 2:00 PM local time, while the SAM.gov notice appears to list offers due on 24 June 2026 at 2:00 PM MDT. 02 July 2026 at 2:00 PM
Can you confirm the correct rental start/delivery requirement? The solicitation delivery schedule references a delivery/performance period beginning 24 June 2026, while the SOW states the equipment must be delivered no later than 06 July 2026 and available for use from 06 July 2026 through 30 September 2026. Perid of Performance will begin after award.
