Questions
Question 1: Does the solicitation include accepting a bid for the Contracting Officer Representative for the project oversight/project monitoring services portion of the project? If so, will it include conducting an asbestos and LBP survey for Building 1151? The specification only includes an asbestos and LBP survey for Building 1150.
Answer 1: The government inspector only provides oversite for the government. The contractor will be responsible for oversite of the asbestos removal and must include this in their proposal (whether or not this is provided from the prime or a sub-contractor). An asbestos and LBP survey is no longer required for Bldg. 1151. This building has been removed from the project.
Question 2: The project includes abatement and demolition of Bldg. 1150 & 1151. The Hazmat Survey provided is for Bldg. 1150 only. Please confirm that Bldg. 1151 has no abatement scope, otherwise, please provide the hazmat report for Bldg. 1151.
Answer 2:Bldg. 1151 is no longer in the project.
Question 3: The information to be provided under Factor 3 - Past Performance Documents is limited to two pages per citation, limit 5 citations. Past performance documentation, such as CPARS reports, Past Performance Questionnaires, etc. typically exceed two pages. Please confirm that past performance information (letters, metrics, customer surveys, independent surveys, etc.) are EXCLUDED from the page limits identified for this Factor.
Answer 3: Yes, these types of documents are exempt from the two-page limit. The limit applies to any hand-written past performance information/examples that the contractor decides to submit with the proposal.
Question 4: Note 2/C.1 calls for saw cut existing asphalt and concrete pavement but does not provide clear mapping of its area. Is it right to assume, that area of demo work is equal the new asphalt and concrete pavement shown on drawings C.5 and C.6?
Answer 4: Sheet 2/C.1 has been revised to clarify the full limits of the demo.
Question 5: Note 6/C.1 calls for salvation of bricks after demolition of the existing entry walls. Please clarify and/or identify start and end points of the wall demo since drawing C.1 does provide no info regarding the wall removal. Also, shall we assume that a new wall per drawing C.4 is constructed per the existing wall typical detail on C.4?
Answer 5: Wall demo at Bldg. 1151 is no longer required. Note 6 has been revised.
Question 6: Please elaborate on scope related to Note 2/C.3.1- do we re-feed lights on pole using existing conduits or we have to trench around Bldg. 1151 as shown on the drawing and install conduits and wire?
Answer 6: The Contractor shall provide new conduits and wire from the transformer to the light fixture.
Question 7: Note 6/C.3.1 calls for removal of concrete duct bank. Please confirm that the demo route is between symbols “4” and “6”.
Answer 7: Yes, this is correct. The Contractor shall demo from note “6” to the limits of the demo shown on C.1 not to note “4”.
Question 8: Note 2/C3.5 calls for removal of sewer services until reaching the main service line but no main service line indicated on the drawings. Please elaborate on the scope of work Answer 8: Note 2/C3.5 has been revised.
