QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
FA4626-19-Q-0008 PRE ENGINEERED BUILDING
1. Is there a soils report or geotechnical information for the site?
A. We are still trying to get this information from Luke AFB.
2. Reference AF Form 66 - Schedule of Submittals.
Question The government schedule for submittals is not achievable. Advise if the contractor is able to submit an achievable schedule with the proposal?
A. Items must be delivered to Luke AFB no later than 1 March 2019; submit a schedule that is achievable with this in mind.
3. Reference AF Form 66 - Schedule of Submittals.
Question Define what a 35% Foundation design would include, that is to be submitted with the proposal?
A. This design should include at a minimum foundation dimensions, rough dimensions for the footers, and any soil profiles below the foundation such as base course and subbase.
4. Reference AF Form 66 - Schedule of Submittals.
Question Will the government accept/approve building shop drawings, to initiate the engineering of design loads that will be required for the 100% foundation design?
A. Yes, we will accept shop drawings.
5. Reference Synopsis / 2 Dimensions / Description Question Is a deck to be included with the mezzanine? If so what is the preferred deck material?
A. Yes, a deck is to be included. The material should be a metal or plywood type type strong enough to hold storage shelves for equipment.
6. Reference Synopsis / 2 Dimensions / Description Question Is 15’ oc an acceptable interior column spacing for the mezzanine?
A. Yes, that is acceptable.
7. Reference Synopsis / 2. Dimensions / Description The color selections throughout the document as follows:
Wall Panels – Mellow Brown with Ultra Brown Trim
Flashing Gutters and Downs – Dark Bronze (ref PAC – Clad Steel Kynar)
Roof Panels - Mellow Brown with Ultra Brown Trim
Per PAC – Clad - These are Special Order Colors: Mellow Brown, Ultra Brown
Question: Will the government be selecting colors from building manufacture standard color charts?
Is it is governments intention to require special order colors as this strongly negatively impacts delivery?
Question: Provide an example of Mellow Brown and Ultra Brown for color matching.

• Roof Panels – Insulated 24 gauge
• Primary wall insulation …. Rigid Panel Insulation installed in the roof shall be
R30. Insulation will include vapor barrier Question: As the Roof Panels are Insulated panels the insulation will be integral to the panel ( inside the panel). The vapor barrier is normally be associated with a batt insulation system. Is the vapor barrier still required?
