QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

FA4626-19-Q-0008 PRE ENGINEERED BUILDING

1. Is there a soils report or geotechnical information for the site?

a. (Attached Below)

2. Would 54’ Wide x 141’ Long work for you or is the 75’ Width needed?

a. 75’ width IS needed.

3. In regards to the referenced project, if this solicitation is for a building kit only, why are we required to provide foundation design/drawings? This is a function of the structural engineer of record not the PEMB supplier. Please clarify this requirement.

a. We lack the bandwidth to design the footer ourselves. Therefore, we have included the design for the PEB in the package. We will be doing the slab design, however.

4. Are any warranties required?

a. Yes, warranty is required.

5. RFP calls for overhangs on the roof structure but no detail is shown on the drawings.

Please provide detail for any overhangs. Is soffiting required?

a. Yes, soffiting is required.

6. Will the government be selecting colors from building manufacture standard color charts? Is it is governments intention to require special order colors as this strongly negatively impacts delivery?

a. KTR can provide samples of colors that they can provide and we can choose the most appropriate per Luke AFB standards.

7. As the Roof Panels are Insulated panels the insulation will be integral to the panel (inside the panel). The vapor barrier is normally be associated with a batt insulation system. Is the vapor barrier still required?

a. We are looking to utilize a rigid insulation vs batt insulation. However, if the insulated panels are all-inclusive to include a vapor barrier, then a second vapor barrier is not necessary.
