Text version

1. For clarification purposes on question #6 in amendment #1, the contractor is simply re-installing the existing blinds in their current condition. It is not expected that the existing blinds will be replaced, correct?

-Remove and replace existing blinds. Do not supply new.

2. Detail 3/A2.0 shows a type “C” window on the North side of the building in the fourth opening from the NW corner of the building. During the site walk, as well as on the Elevation plan Detail 3/A3.0, this location appeared to be a roof access door single opening to the lower level roof. Is a Window needed in this location or is the access door remaining in place as is?

- Please leave access door as is.

3. Detail 3/A2.0 shows a type “B” window on the South side of the building in the fifth opening from the SW corner of the building. During the site walk, as well as on the Elevation Plan Detail 4/A3.0, this opening appears to be a type “C” window. Is the intent for this to remain a type “C” window or will it require additional framing to make it a type “B” window?

- Use a type C window in this opening.

4. Detail 1/A2.0 shows a type “A” window on the West side of the building lower structure fourth window group from the NW back corner of the structure. During the site walk, it was observed that one of the windows had been removed and framed in for a window AC unit. Is this opening to be transferred back to a window or to remain enclosed with the window unit?

-Replace window with window type shown on the drawings. Do not install the window AC unit. Return window unit to the government.

5. In reference to question #3 of amendment #1, would it be acceptable to install extension jambs and trim molding at each window location to maintain a more uniform look throughout the facility and minimize the disturbance to the surrounding areas?

- Please match existing wherever possible. Only use trim molding and extension jambs where absolutely needed.
