Attachment 1 Salient Characteristics FA462025QA939 8APR25
1. BACKGROUND: The 92nd Security Forces Squadron (92 SFS) at Fairchild AFB requires a Modular Vehicle Barrier System that meets the salient characteristics below. The modular vehicle barrier system will be able to be used to block off roadways (i.e. installation entry control points in the event of a vehicle gate runner, building alarms, or for vehicle turn-arounds, traffic control points/cordons on the installation in the event of an emergency or if traffic needs to be re-directed). The modular vehicle barrier system will replace the use of the star barriers at installation entry control points, as not all personnel are able to effectively deploy the star barriers within a timely manner if needed. A result of the capabilities mentioned will also result in better allocation of manpower during said incidents and for daily operations.
2. OBJECTIVES: With the modular vehicle barrier system, 92 SFS members will be better equipped to conduct daily installation entry control point duties as well as be able to effectively control traffic operations in a more efficient and safe manner. The modular vehicle barrier system will be utilized at installation entry control points to Fairchild AFB and may be used for traffic control points/cordons as well as for crowd control during large events.
3. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS:
