Amendment 02
Attachment 1
Question and Answers for Amendment 02
Question 1) If the total power draw stated in answer to question 2 of the first amendment is 1500W, how does the government plan to obtain 8 hour usage for maximum draw as required in the Salient Characteristics with only a 720Wh minimum Battery? 1500W draw at 8 hrs would require approx 12,000 Wh.
Answer 1) With the hard output of 1500W continuous for each battery, the batteries should achieve the required 8 hrs output several times over (depending on the particular surge use/use case). Please see the attached revised salient characteristics with changes highlighted in yellow.
Question 2) The General Requirements state the Thermal operating range as 32-104F while the answer to questions states that the conditions can be -20 to 100plus F. An insulated cooler box is recommended to operate below 32 F. Battery operations change in colder conditions. While charging continuously, the battery will naturally produce heat on its own, and the cooler will trap the heat and keep the unit at a better operating temperature. Will the cooler box been obtained through another purchase or is the bidder required to include one with each battery bank to improve operations during winter conditions?
Answer 2) The cooler box will be a separate purchase.
Note: Please see the attached revised salient characteristics. All changes have been highlighted in yellow.
