SUMMARY OF CHANGES
SECTION SF 30 - BLOCK 14 CONTINUATION PAGE
The following have been added by full text:
AMENDMENT 2
The following questions were asked on 20 October 2015:
Question: 1.1.1. Replowing States:
“In the event that a parking lot or sidewalk area requires re-plowing due to heavy snowfall, the contractor shall notify Snow Control and request permission prior to re-plowing. Upon approval, the contractor shall commence operations on those approved areas only. The contractor will be paid for an additional push if the total cumulative snow level is greater than 6 inches.”
Does this mean that if we have a re-plow due to continuous snow fall less than 6” deep we won’t get paid for the re-plow?
Answer: No, The contractor will be paid for a push regardless of how deep the snow is. If the government directs a re-plow due to continued snowfall then the contractor is entitled to invoice for an additional push for those areas they were directed to re-plow. However, if the snow is deeper than 6 inches the contractor will be paid for two pushes. This is the same for an initial push or a re-plow. For example, if snow continues to fall and the total snowfall for the re-plow is 12 inches, the contractor would be eligible to be paid for the initial push and also could legitimately invoice for two additional pushes; one for the first increment of 6 inches and one for the second increment of 6 inches.
Question: The parking lot snow quantity is listed as ten pushes per year. Can the government provide the number of pushes for the last five years?
Answer: From 2011 to 2015 FAFB had a maximum of 11 pushes in one year and a minimum of 3 pushes in one year. The average number of pushes per year for this time period is 6.6 pushes per year.
