About this file

This document is a Contractor Questions & Government Answers file for a CATM (Close Air Target Maintenance) Cleaning Service. The cleaning requirement involves a total of 18,104 sq. ft. of range space, with a one-time cleaning anticipated between 24-26 September 2025. Key details include: no incumbent contractor, with similar services previously performed under contract FA461322C0005; no target holders or filters require cleaning; and the cleaning involves frangible ammunition residue composed of compressed Copper, Zinc, Tin, Tungsten, and a Polymer Binder.

Notable technical details include contractor responsibilities for manual auger plate removal and damage repair, and an unresolved question about surface sampling thresholds (40 micrograms/sf) which will be addressed in Amendment 2 on 15 September. The solicitation due date has been amended to 16 September to accommodate clarification. The cleaning will involve a space where lead ammunition has been used, and the frangible ammunition is designed to disintegrate upon impact with hard surfaces. Images of a drain gate are provided with the document, showing a metal-covered access point with debris inside.
