About this file
This document is a Contractor Questions & Government Answers file for a CATM (Close Air To Magnetic) Cleaning Service. The cleaning requirement involves a one-time service for an 18,104 sq. ft. range with specific cleaning and sampling parameters. Key details include a planned cleaning start date between 24-26 September 2025, with no incumbent contractor but a previous similar contract (FA461322C0005). The cleaning involves addressing lead ammunition residue, with a post-cleaning threshold of 40 micrograms/sf required for both horizontal and floor surfaces. The contractor will be responsible for any damages during plate dropping or cleaning, and the range uses frangible ammunition composed of compressed Copper, Zinc, Tin, Tungsten, and a Polymer Binder. No target holders require cleaning, and no filters will need replacement during this service.
