About this file
This file contains two AF Form 1222-AF Equivalent (7-12-13) Boiler or Pressure Vessel Inspection Reports from inspections conducted on 7-12-2021 at FE Warren Air Force Base in Wyoming.
The first report is for LP-Tank-1 in Area-501, a compressed air storage vessel manufactured by UNT Steel Corporation in 1953. The vessel has a maximum allowable working pressure (MAWP) of 200 PSI and actual operating pressure of 110 PSI. The inspection found the vessel unsatisfactory due to the safety relief valve being set at 250 PSI, which exceeds NFPA requirements limiting pressure to 100% of MAWP. The second report is for Air-1 in Building 34, an air receiver manufactured by Morganton in 2014. This vessel passed inspection with no deficiencies, showing proper thickness measurements and only minor surface corrosion. Both vessels underwent visual inspections per NBIC Part 2 standards, with pressure gages and safety devices documented.
