805.1.2 Seed Type
The following native mix shall be used and applied at 40 pounds per acre. Seed blend shall have less than 0.10% weeds.

805.1.2 Fertilizer Type
Fertilizer shall be applied at a rate of 50 pounds per acre. Fertilizer shall be 16-48-0 (NPK) ammonium or diammonium phosphate. Each component of the fertilizer may vary by 2%. If the contractor wishes to utilize a different blend, a sample of the material needs to be submitted to the contracting officer.
805.2 Sodding
Provide and use nursery-grown, 99.0-% Kentucky Bluegrass consisting of two or more varieties and no more than 1.0% weeds. In areas south of US 26/20 and lower than 6000 ft., nursery-grown, 95% turf-type Tall Fescue sod consisting of two or more turf-type varieties adapted to plant hardiness zone 4 may be used. Ensure that the 1% of allowable weeds does not include undesirable perennials, annual grasses, or plant parts. The department will not allow noxious weeds.
Provide and use machine-cut sod strips with 3/8 in to 1 in of soil adhering to the root system.
Keep sod rolls moist and protected from the sun and wind by tarps or shade cloth. Do not use sod that:
1. Is dried
2. Has adhering soil that breaks, tears, or crumbles
3. Was cut and harvested more than 36 hours before placement
