Question
Question/Comment/Clarification Government Response
1) Is there asbestos in the buildings to be concerned about?
The Performance Work Statement has been updated to reflect the risk of asbestos, section 4.7.5.
Contractor is responsible for testing if needed and price should be factored into the proposal price.
If asbestos is found then the abatement price will be negotiated and the contract modified.
2) Are there a specific brand to use for jacks, bezels, or faceplates?
No, there is no specific brand name to use for the jacks, bezels, or faceplates. The jacks, bezels, and faceplates must conform to the Performance Work Statement and the TIC Handbook 2022.
Appendix E was added to the PWS to provide an example list of products that meet the specifications.
3) Is this a brand new contract or was there an incumbent performing these services?
This is a new contract to perform service work that has had no incumbent performing these services.
4) Are there approximate distances from the CER to the locations?
No, there are no surveyed or approximate distances from the CER to the locations. The floor plans contain markers for the approximate locations of the outlets and a scale.
An amended version of the floor plans has been posted with the CER room identified.
5) Are there specs of the patch panel or server?
See the Performance work Statement and the TIC Handbook 2022 for the identified specs for the patch panel and servers.
