About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) attachment for a Housing Switchgears Replacement project with solicitation number FA460825QS060. The Q&A addresses two key points: (1) the contractor will be responsible for removing and disposing of the existing switchgear from the base, as the government has no further use for the equipment, and (2) the current primary feeds do not have immediate back feed capability for housing circuits. However, the government plans to establish back feed capability by running overhead connections to create the necessary electrical loops prior to the project start date.

Housing Switchgears Replacement Questions and Answers
1. Will the contractor be responsible for removing the old switchgear from the base or will the government like to keep it?
The base has no use for the existing gear after removal. We would like to include the disposal in the project scope.
2. Do the existing primary feeds have back feed capability to keep housing powered up while the project is being installed?
We do not have an option to back feed housing circuits; however, we will have backfeed capability by the time the project start date occurs. We will be running overhead to connect the necessary loops.
