About this file

This is Amendment 01 to Solicitation FA460825QS011 issued by the Department of the Air Force's 2d Contracting Squadron at Barksdale Air Force Base, providing answers to contractor questions regarding portable latrine services for an airshow event.

The amendment clarifies that while uniform color is preferred for all units, grouped color arrangements would be acceptable. At Building B6604, 8 standard units, 2 ADA units, and 2 handwashing stations are required on each side. No internal sinks or sanitizers are needed in the portable latrines. Cleaning services must occur four times daily during the airshow (March 29-30) at 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM, and 5:00 PM CST, with some flexibility if units fill faster. Full servicing includes removing waste, refilling, and restocking both latrines and handwashing stations. Fresh water refill will be available at the CE Water and Fuels System Maintenance section. Pricing should be submitted as one total CLIN with a breakdown of individual item costs.

1. The purpose of issuing Amendment 01 is to provide the governments answers to the questions submitted by the contractors in regards to solicitation FA46025QS011, portable latrines. 2 CONS will also add Attachment 4 – Map for Portable Latrines (the map is subject to change as this is not an official map).

2. The questions and answers are listed below. Please be advised, the answers are in bold.

Question 1: Although it is stated that the porta potties are to uniform and one standard color, is it permissible to use more than one standard color if each color is grouped together? For example, the 25 ADA porta potties could be blue, while the regular porta potties could be 40 brown, 40 tan and 40 red. Or the porta potties staged at B6604 for the children's field trip could be yellow and the 25 ADA porta potties be red. The remaining porta potties could be either all beige or could be broken into 40 beige, 40 brown and 40 green. The point is if more than one color is permissible, the colors used would be grouped together.?

Answer: The customer would prefer all the items to be uniform in appearance and have a single standard color. However, if the requested is not feasible, the customer would be willing to accept grouping them by color as a suitable alternative.

Question 2: How many porta potties would be needed at B6604 for the children's field trip on Friday, March 25?

Answer: B6604, near the ECP, and the east side of the building will each have: 8 standard, 2 ADA, and 2 handwashing stations.

Question 3: Did you require the portable toilets, regular and ADA, to have sinks inside the units or hand sanitizer?

Answer: There is no need for sinks or hand sanitizer in the portable latrines themselves. The handwashing stations will be sufficient to meet hygiene requirements when placed in conjunction with the portable latrines.

Question 4: Is there a recommended price schedule template (For example do you want a total price for the entire job)?

Answer: The price can be on one (1) total CLIN, however 2 CONS is requesting a breakdown for each item that was priced.

Question 5: Is there a recommended time for the service cleanings for Mar 29 as it requires 4x cleaning on that day?

Answer: 10:00 AM CST, 12:00 PM CST, 2:00 PM CST and 5:00 PM CST. Some flexibility

Solicitation FA460825QS011, Amendment 01 with times will be needed if portable latrines fill up faster. The 4x cleaning should be for both days of the airshow, 29 and 30 March.
