About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for SGBP 24-0025 Dock Elevator Installation project at Offutt, detailing specific technical and operational requirements for an elevator replacement. The existing elevator, designed by ThyssenKrupp and installed by O'Keefe Elevator, has a 12,000 lbs capacity, Class C-3 Loading, 100 fpm speed, and two front openings measuring 8'0" wide by 9'0" high. The project involves replacing some existing elevator equipment, with the contractor authorized to remove used equipment, and requires maintaining one elevator in service during installation, understanding temporary stoppages may occur.
Key integration requirements include coordinating with multiple building systems' points of contact: McDean for building maintenance (402-912-4975), Wing ESS for security (402-912-4096), and Wing Fire (402-912-3778). The government will relocate lockers blocking the new door rough-in, and pictures of the elevator pit, mechanical room, and affected areas will be provided via Amendment 0002. The elevators are not currently tied into a Building Management System (BMS), and there are no specific noise requirements for the installation work.
