About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a console procurement project for Minot, likely a military or government facility. The project involves purchasing multiple consoles with specific requirements: two 84" x 44" straight consoles and two 90-degree consoles (72" x 72" and 60" x 60"), each with a sit-to-stand adjustment range of 22"-48". Each position will have two PCs sized 18"H x 8"W x 19"D, and the consoles must include both USB-C and USB-A ports. Additional storage requirements include space for CPUs for radio communications, E-911, and background checks, as well as storage for up to 10 large 3-ring binders.

Key logistical details include that the contractor must provide flooring protection, open market pricing is requested (not GSA pricing), and no existing console teardown is required. Non-US citizens must follow a foreign visitor request process that can take up to 21 days, and no special security clearance is needed beyond standard background checks. The consoles will be used in a base or facility setting, with specific technical and functional requirements to support operational needs.

1. Q: Will you require ‘teardown and disposal/removal’ of the existing consoles? If so, how many consoles are currently in place? If disposal is needed, will a dumpster be made available?

A: There is no teardown or disposal of existing consoles required.

2. Q: Can you specify the number of PC’s and sizes for each position?

A: We anticipate 2 PCs per position. The sizes will be 18”H x 8”W x19”D.

3. Q: Is there a preference as to console type for each position (i.e. ‘work surface being straight/90-degree corner/120 degree)?

A: The two (2) 84” X 44” consoles should be straight with a sit to stand adjustment range of 22” – 48”.

The 72” x 72” console should be a 90-degree with a sit to stand adjustment range of

22” – 48”.

The 60” x 60” console should be a 90-degree with a sit to stand adjustment range of

22” – 48”.

4. Q: Will the flooring protection be provided by Minot, or should it be provided by the selected console vendor?

A: Flooring protection must be provided by the contractor.

5. Q: Are you interested in utilizing GSA pricing for this project?

A: Please submit open market pricing for this requirement.

6. Q: Is security clearance required for this install, beyond providing SSN, REAL ID license, and a NCIC background check performed by Minot?

A: Security clearance is not required.

7. Q: Is a Canadian driver allowed on base?

A: Non-US citizens must follow the foreign visitor request process which can take up to 21 days to process.

8. Q: Should the QTY (8) USB ports be USB-C or USB-A?

A: The consoles should facilitate both USB-C and USB-A.

9. Q: Is there any other equipment that will be stored within the consoles?

A: A CPU for radio comms, small CPU for E-911, and CPU for background checks. Both the CPU for the radios and E-911 can sit on the desktop if need

be. Additionally, storage will be needed for up to 10 large 3-ring type binders. If the binder storage could rotate 360 degrees, that would be optimal but is not required.
