About this file
This document contains questions and answers regarding a solicitation for elevator maintenance, repair, and inspection services at Minot Air Force Base and associated missile alert facilities in North Dakota. The services are required for freight and passenger elevators across eleven locations ranging from on-base to 81 miles from Minot AFB. Elevator controllers and ropes at all facilities were recently upgraded in 2016-2017. Some minor door issues were noted at one facility but do not affect operation. A few emergency maintenance calls were received in the last six months regarding switch issues. Snowfall is common between November and March with the most accumulation typically in December and January, leading to potential road closures determined by the North Dakota Department of Transportation.
