Q: Is the existing access control system to be replaced in good working order to reuse the wiring and electric locks?

A: Yes, all existing equipment is fully functioning and able to be reused.

Q: Having a central point of control for both buildings will require a network connection or hardwire communication connection between these buildings. Is there an existing connection that can be reused or will a new line need to be run? Will trenching be required?

A: Yes, the existing network connections between buildings can be reused. No trenching will be required.

Q: Given the remote location of this site is it possible for the government to provide photos of site conditions and doors where the new readers will be installed?

A: Will send photos of outside of area vaults but no interior photos due to security reasons.

Not all doors are pictured, these are just a random few to provide examples of the site conditions and door types. Pictures are in solicitation documents.

Q: We didn’t see a requirement for federal access control that the system be listed on the

GSA approved products list or that a CSEIP is required. Is the intent to follow these standards?

A: There is no intent to follow those requirements.

Q: What is the current state of the existing wiring system? How is it installed (conduit vs open ceiling vs raceway)?

A: All existing equipment is fully functioning and able to be reused. Conduit.

Q: What is the current state of the existing wiring system? How is it installed (conduit vs open ceiling vs raceway)?

A: The SOW says annual PMI, but the CLIN asks for 12 months in the “Quantity” section of the table. Which is correct?

Q: We are hoping to find out if there is (was) an incumbent contractor performing these services, or if this is a brand new contract. If there is an incumbent, could you please provide the current / previous contract number?

A: There is no incumbent and this is a new contract.
