About this file

This document provides answers to questions from offerors on solicitation number FA449724Q0009 from the Department of the Air Force for snow broom bristle replacement. The solicitation seeks delivery only of replacement parts for split broom cores that are each 10 feet long by 10 inches, with an overall broom diameter of 46 inches. The cores currently use SIB00216K60 cassette bars that are no longer available, so the government seeks a comparable commercial product. Each core section contains 3 bars with 20 tufts at 32.5 inches long and 1 bar with 19 tufts at 30.75 inches long, for a total of 160 bars per set. The trim length of each tuft is 11.75 inches. No installation is required, only delivery of replacement parts.
